Driver Ati Radeon Hd 5450 For Mac
Hello guys,
I have installed Linux Mint Tina Mate on my HP Pavillion Elite - 8Gb ram - with PCI graphics card radeon HD 5450.
The graphics card doesn't seem to be recognised properly according to the LSPCI command (see below):

I have been trying to install the proprietary driver from the AMD website but I keep getting error messages related to Xorg.
i have tried to enable Compiz and the system keeps on freezing and I am having to delete config profile to be able to resume normal functioning,
Graphics work fine using Marco and metacity window managers.
Is there any way that I can solve this issue?
