Matrox Dualhead2go Dp And Triplehead2go Dp Gxms For Mac
Matrox Graphics (http://www.matrox.com) has announced connectivity improvements to the Matrox DualHead2Go DP Edition and TripleHead2Go DP Edition Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXMs) benefitting Mac notebook and desktop users.
Matrox Introduces New Mac-Friendly DualHead2Go DP and TripleHead2Go DP Multi-Monitor Adapters New DisplayPort SKUs provide improved out-of-the-box plug and play experience plus expanded resolution support for Mac notebooks and desktops. Matrox DualHead2Go works fine but with 2048 x 768 it is not very useful for daily work. A normal web page is unreadable.
The DualHead2Go DP and TripleHead2Go DP products now come packaged with a Mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable that allows Mac users to connect these external multi-monitor modules directly to the mini-DisplayPort output of their systems to drive multiple monitors or projectors. Mac professionals and enthusiasts now benefit from the convenience of a true plug and play platform while experiencing the productivity-enhancements gained across an advanced dual- or triple-monitor workspace, says Caroline Injoyan, business development manager, Matrox Graphics. In addition, an upcoming firmware release will enable the support of a dual 1600×900 resolution on DVI monitors, further expanding the list of supported resolutions for greater flexibility when choosing displays.
The Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go GXMs work in conjunction with your system’s existing GPU to provide uncompressed graphics and video across maximum resolutions of dual 1920×1200 and triple 1360×768 under the Mac. With the additional desktop display area, MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro users can run different applications on each monitor or view one application across multiple displays.
The Matrox DualHead2Go DP Edition and TripleHead2Go DP Edition for Mac are now available at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of US$239 and $329, respectively. They can be purchased from authorised Matrox resellers worldwide or, in North America and Europe, directly from Shopmatrox.com.
Matrox Dualhead2go Dp And Triplehead2go Dp Gxm For Mac
I have just the regular dualhead2go Digital for my Macbook, which, on Mountain Lion, I had set at 2880x1400. When I installed Mavericks, 2880x1400 was offset and stretched out like crazy. I couldn't get any resolution to properly display across both monitors. (And it didn't help that the Matrox Powerdesk software crashed when I tried to use it to set the resolution.) But I was able to use other software like Display Maestro and SwitchResX to change the resolution, but couldn't find one to work. I need the extra screen for work, so I had to go back to Mountain Lion for the time being, but I would like to take advantage of the dev. Anybody have any suggestions?
