Sync a Wii remote to Dolphin. Click on 'Options,' then 'Wiimote Settings.' The remote settings window will appear. Click the drop-down menu next to 'Remote 1' and select 'Real Wiimote.' The other remotes should be set to 'None.' Then, click the 'Refresh' button in the window. Immediately hit buttons '1' and '2' on your Wii remote. The phrase '0 connected' should change to '1 connected' when the remote syncs. You can now play Wii games with a Wii remote.

Click 'File,' the 'Open,' and navigate the File Open dialogue window to the Wii or GameCube game you wish to play. Click it, and the click 'Open.'
